Guided Makeup & Skincare Shopping
Shopping for makeup shouldn't feel like a job. This 1 hour, guided, intentional session takes the stress out of buying beauty products. Together, we’ll shop for your specific skin type, routine, and budget — focusing on what's actually worth the investment, what you can skip, and how to build a routine you'll actually use with your perfect shades and tones.
What's Included:
Pre-Shop Consultation: Map out your skin and makeup goals, budget, and needs (pairs perfectly with a Private Lesson).
In-Person Guidance: Dedicated support at Sephora (Arboretum), Ulta (Cotswold), or any drugstore.
Perfect Matches: Precise shade matching and formula selection for your skin type.
Smart Buying: Unbiased advice on high-end vs. drugstore, splurges vs. skips.
The Promise: No brand bias, no trend-chasing, and zero pressure to buy more than you need. You'll leave with products you love—and the confidence to shop on your own next time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Makeup Lesson FAQ’s Shop With Me FAQ’s
-
Yes, completely. A lot of my lesson clients are women who are revisiting makeup after years away from it, adjusting their routine as their skin and features have changed, or simply never had the chance to learn properly the first time around. There's no skill level or age where this stops being useful — the goal is always the same: you leave knowing your own face better than when you walked in.
-
Bring what you already own — I'll only suggest something new if it's actually working against you. If you'd rather start fresh, we can also do a Shop With Me session beforehand, then pair it with a lesson to learn how to actually use everything you picked up.
-
I know skin insecurities can make booking something like this feel vulnerable, so I want to be upfront and kind about it: acne and redness — I can absolutely help cover that if it's what you want. Texture is something makeup can soften but can't fully erase, and I'd rather tell you that honestly than have you leave disappointed. I'll also ask about your current skincare routine, not to critique it, but because it genuinely shapes how we get your skin ready — and I'm always happy to suggest adjustments if you want them.
-
Yes — an adult needs to be present, the one exception to my no-guest policy. Or a parent and teen can each book a personalized lesson as a travel duo, splitting a shared 4-hour block however works — teens usually need less time.
-
An appointment is about the look for that day. A lesson is about being able to recreate it yourself afterward.
-
A recap sheet with your exact shades and techniques, samples when available, before-and-after photos (yours to keep private if you'd rather), and my email for any follow-up questions.
-
Through the scheduling portal. A non-refundable $50 deposit holds your spot. The rest of the balance is due the day of the lesson.
-
Cancellations more than 24 hours out get a deposit refund. Within 24 hours or no-shows forfeit the deposit. Future bookings after a no-show require full payment upfront.
Life happens — just reach out and we'll figure it out.

Yes! Shop With Me is for anyone, whether you're building a collection for the first time, replacing a routine you've outgrown, or just tired of guessing your shade in the aisle. No product knowledge required going in; that's the whole point of doing this together instead of alone.
-
Just have a rough number in mind — we build around it.
-
No! I have no brand bias here. I'll tell you honestly when high-end is worth it and when drugstore does the exact same job.
-
Absolutely not, you decide what goes in the basket. My job is pointing you toward what's worth it, not hitting a number.
-
Still useful, we could look at what's working, what's not, and fill in just the gaps. Or maybe a makeup lesson is more what you are looking for. Check it out here!
-
100%! It pairs naturally with a Private Lesson, so you leave knowing not just what to buy, but how to use it.
-
No — my only job is finding what actually works for your skin and your budget.
