Makeup that celebrates who you are, not who you're supposed to be.

I'm Juan — a Colombian-American professional makeup artist and licensed esthetician based in Charlotte, NC. I've spent years studying skin, technique, and the kind of artistry that makes someone look in the mirror and think: that's just me, but better.

That's the whole goal. Not a transformation. Not a correction. Just you — seen, celebrated, and exactly yourself.

I work across events, weddings, editorial, and one-on-one makeup lessons, and I bring the same thing to every single client: intention, care, and a genuine belief that you were never meant to be a before photo.

My Ethos

I'll be honest with you — I'm not interested in selling you a standard that was never yours to meet. The beauty industry has spent a long time telling people what to cover, what to fix, what to change. I don't believe in any of that.

My work is rooted in enhancement, not correction. Skin compatibility, ingredient integrity, and technique always come before trends, brand deals, or hype. For me, intentional beauty isn't about a price point — it's about how something works, how it feels on your skin, and whether it was made with real care. That's the bar.

I believe the mirror should feel like a moment of recognition — not comparison.

How I Got Here

It started in college — friends getting ready for dates, formals, moments that felt big and deserved to feel that way. I'd do their makeup and watch something shift in them. That was it for me. I didn't know yet that it would become my life, but looking back, it was always going to.

In 2023, I made the decision to move to Charlotte and pursue my esthetician license — fully committed to doing this for real. I was deeply self-taught through that whole period: masterclasses, professional technique, countless hours of hands-on practice with anyone who trusted me with their face. After esthetician school, I joined Sephora as a Licensed Beauty Advisor, where I performed hundreds of applications across every age, skin tone, and comfort level.

That experience sharpened everything — my technique, my adaptability, and my confidence in my own point of view. My signature style came out of all of it: polished, refined, and quietly impactful. Makeup that doesn't announce itself — it just makes you feel undeniably good.

Why I Do This

Makeup has always brought me joy — consistently, genuinely, every single time. But what keeps me going is the moment a client sees themselves and something clicks. When they feel confident not because they've been covered or corrected, but because they've been seen.

I want every person who sits in my chair to leave feeling more like themselves — not less. More empowered in their own skin, not more dependent on a look that isn't theirs.

I've had the honor of being part of all kinds of love stories, all kinds of milestones, all kinds of people finding their version of beautiful. Every single one has been worth showing up for.

That's why I do this. And I'm just getting started.

Where I Come From

I was born in Colombia and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, in a family that was close, warm, and deeply supportive. Growing up between cultures gave me an eye for beauty that doesn't fit into one box — and it shaped the way I see people. Every face has its own story, its own features worth honoring.

La belleza no tiene una sola forma. Beauty doesn't have just one shape — and I've never believed it did.

Family is still everything to me, and that sense of care and connection is something my clients feel the moment they sit in my chair.

Education

I graduated from Clemson University in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management — which gave me the foundation to approach beauty not just as an art form, but as something sustainable, intentional, and built to last.
